My name is Patrick Costanzo, and I am a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill class of 2009. Throughout the course of my academic and professional career I have had the opportunity to diversify my experience across a number of different fields. I have held positions in outside sales, email marketing, search engine optimization, social media marketing, web production and programming, and even developmental medical research. As part of a dynamic and talented web team at Performance Bike I was able to assist in the execution of a backend transition from a Coldfusion based website to IBM’s WebSphere Commerce. Along with this change came a complete front end redesign that has netted the company multiple eCommerce excellence awards from the likes of Multichannel Merchant and Internet Retailer.

In 2010 I made the difficult decision to leave the US to teach English at Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey. This is a tremendously exciting opportunity that I could not turn down. It was exciting to assume the role of leader in the classroom and quite challenging to adjust to a new culture and environment. What I have taken home from Ankara and Turkey is invaluable towards my personal and professional development, it was a truly exciting opportunity.
